Foster Care Support

Saving the World One Child at a Time

There are more than 300 children in legal custody of the Cobb County Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), from newborns to 18-year-olds. Temporary placement for these children is provided by 120 families who choose to foster children in their Cobb County homes.

The Junior League of Cobb-Marietta (JLCM) is committed to supporting and improving the lives of children who have experienced homelessness, food insecurity and/or foster care placement at every age. Since 2011, JLCM has hosted a Foster Care Celebration to thank these families for their love and dedication to our community’s children, while also providing valuable training for foster parents.

We continue to expand our reach through partnerships and support for organizations like Kennesaw State University’s KSU Cares program, the Center for Family Resources and Safepath Children’s Advocacy Center.
